About Us

As the exclusive representative for teachers in the Hamilton Southeastern School District,  HSEA is the teacher voice in negotiations with the HSE school board and the HSE administration. We bargain and negotiate the master teacher contract and help to secure quality insurance, salary and benefits for our teachers.  HSEA is also involved in the formation of committees for district initiatives and engages in ongoing discussion with administration to be sure that the teacher voice is heard and centered when decisions are being made.  Members of HSEA also receive support in disciplinary and evaluation meetings with administration, ensuring the protection of teachers' rights.  HSEA serves as the bridge between Hamilton Southeastern's teaching force and the administration and policy makers in our district.

HSEA remains a proud affiliate of the Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA), giving our members a voice in educational policy in Indiana.  Our members are very active within the state association, lobbying state legislators and policy makers and participating in various events to support public education in the state of Indiana.
